Scott Wright, a husband to Shanna and father of four, became a licensed minister in 2004 after receiving his degree in Theology. Scott developed a heart to partner with those who are, or have been incarcerated as he watched people he loved struggle with their reentry post incarceration. This was the catalyst for forming Removing Dross Ministries, a not-for-profit organization based in New Port Richey, Florida that exists to assist those who have been incarcerated and their families. An avid motorcyclist and kayaker, he can often be found riding the backroads of West Florida or cruising down a river on his kayak with his wife and kids.
Shanna Wright is a disciple of Jesus Christ, wife to Scott, and mother of three fabulous teenagers. Holding fast to the grace and promises of God through the shock, pain, and confusion of a loved one’s incarceration, she has experienced first-hand the redeeming and healing power of God’s love. Her testimony reminds us of the scriptural truth that nothing is impossible for God and her heart is to come alongside and encourage those who would dare to believe it! She desires to see the hurting families touched by incarceration find roads to forgiveness and healing. A local elder in their family’s church, she has a passion for discipling women and is an encouraging speaker on the power of God’s provision and restoration.
